Product Overview

This water vapor permeability tester evaluates the breathability of footwear and textile materials by measuring water vapor transmission through test specimens. The instrument rotates test bottles containing desiccant, creating air disturbance to continuously absorb water vapor through the test material, providing accurate permeability assessment.

Testing Principle

Circular test specimens are fixed in the water vapor permeability tester with test bottles containing a measured amount of solid desiccant. The desiccant inside the test bottle is separated from the air bottle, and through the tester's rotation mechanism and fan operation, the desiccant continuously absorbs water vapor passing through the test specimen. Water vapor permeability is evaluated by weighing the mass of absorbed water vapor over a specific time period.
