GJB AATCC UV Aging Test Chamber For Electroplating Industry
The GJB AATCC Solar Radiation UV Weathering Testing Machine simulates environmental conditions including sunlight, rain, and dew to evaluate material degradation. This accelerated testing equipment uses UV lamps to replicate sunlight effects while incorporating condensation and water spray systems to mimic natural moisture conditions.
Equipment Overview
The QUV UV aging testing machine subjects materials to alternating cycles of light and moisture exposure. This accelerated testing method allows researchers to determine material damage that would typically occur over months or years of outdoor exposure within just days or weeks. Common damage types assessed include bleaching, discoloration, gloss loss, powdering, cracking, clouding, blistering, embrittlement, strength reduction, and oxidation.
Primary Functions
This testing equipment utilizes UV lamps to simulate solar effects while condensation and water spray systems replicate rain and dew conditions. Temperature is precisely controlled throughout testing cycles, which typically alternate between UV radiation at elevated temperatures and 100% humidity in darkness. Ideal for testing paints, coatings, automotive components, plastics, wood products, adhesives, and similar materials.
Compliance Standards
Conforms to multiple international standards including ASTMG53-77, GB, GJB, MIL, ASTM, CNS, IEC, JIS, AATCC, DIN, Fed Test, BS, SAE, ASTM D4355, ISO-4892, ASTM-G53, D4587, 4799, BS-27282, and SAE-J2020.
Industry Applications
Widely used across multiple industries including paints, resins, plastics, printing and packaging, aluminum manufacturing, adhesives, automotive, cosmetics, metals, electronics, electroplating, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Features
Material durability degradation primarily results from solar ultraviolet radiation. The testing chamber uses UV lamps that simulate the short-wave ultraviolet spectrum while generating minimal visible or infrared spectral energy. Different UV lamp types (UVA and UVB) are available to match specific testing requirements based on wavelength and total UV radiation energy.
The equipment's unique condensation system accurately simulates outdoor moisture conditions, which research shows is primarily caused by dew rather than rainfall. During condensation cycles, heated water vapor maintains 100% relative humidity at elevated temperatures within the chamber. Sample temperature differentials between exposed surfaces and chamber environment create continuous condensation throughout testing cycles.
Optional irradiation intensity control enables precise, reproducible test results. The light intensity control system accommodates varying testing requirements while extending fluorescent lamp lifespan through precise feedback loop regulation.
This testing chamber employs fluorescent ultraviolet lamps to simulate natural sunlight conditions combined with condensation effects. It reproduces environmental factors including ultraviolet radiation, rainfall, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and darkness, combining these conditions into automated cyclic testing programs.
