Power Battery Short Circuit Test Machine

Equipment design discription:
This devices are designed according to standard requirements of various kinds of battery short circuit test, so thatmaximum short-circuit current,which is required for the test, would be measured.
Besides, short circuiting device must also be able to withstand large current impact.So we choose the industriallevel DC electromagnetic contactor, pure-copper wiring terminal and internal copperplate to deflect, which effectively improve the cooling effect and ensure the security of large current short circuit device , effectively reduce the loss of test equipment, ensure the accuracy of test data.
Control method:
Adopts PLC man-machine interface control mode.Use the relay contactor as switching element, set up the test conditions on the interface of PLC. Actuation of contactors emits strong short-circuit current ,which reaches the current required by the test.The loop resistance in the process (i.e. contactor resistance + connecting pin wiring + battery clamp) smaller than 5mΩ(or 20mΩ). The maximum short-circuit current that testing circuit can withstand is 5000A. The battery surface temperature,voltage change data and current change data are detected by collecting element and feed back to PLC main control program.

Short circuit test follow these steps
Charge battery module fully
Make the battery module short circuit for 10min by external , external circuit resistance
should be less than 5mΩ
Observe for an hour
Requirement:single battery do not explode or burn as qualified
