It is suitable for single and multi-layer materials, including coated paper and paperboard coated with synthetic polymer film. This equipment is essential for paper mills and paperboard factories to test internal bond strength.

Not suitable for low basis weight, porous, soft, or low-density paper and board. Inter layer bonding strength refers to the ability of paper and paperboard to resist inter layer separation, reflecting the internal bonding capability. Proper control of internal bonding strength is crucial for processing multi-layer paper and cardboard.

Low values or uneven distribution may cause issues in offset presses using viscous inks, while excessively high bond strength can complicate processing and increase costs. This test is widely applied in the printing and packaging industries for multi-layer cardboard including boxboard, whiteboard, grayboard, and white cardboard.
