The PN-BST Bekk Smoothness Tester is a professional instrument developed according to ISO standards for measuring the smoothness of paper and cardboard using the Bekk method. Bekk smoothness measures the time in seconds required to draw a defined quantity of air at atmospheric pressure between the test piece surface and a ring-shaped plane surface under specified contact conditions.
This method is suitable for a wide range of papers and boards, particularly recommended for smooth papers and boards. Note that for extremely smooth samples, measurement times may be extended.
