A tensile testing machine, also known as a tensile testing machine or universal testing machine (UTM), is an electromechanical testing system that applies tensile (pull) force to a material to determine tensile strength and deformation behavior before fracture.
A typical tensile testing machine consists of a load cell, crosshead, extensometer, specimen grip, electronics, and drive system. It is controlled by testing software that defines machine and safety settings and stores test parameters specified by testing standards such as ASTM and ISO. The magnitude of the force applied to the machine and the elongation of the specimen were recorded throughout the test. Measuring the force required to stretch or elongate a material to the point of permanent deformation or rupture helps designers and manufacturers predict how a material will perform when serving its intended purpose.
Tensile testing machines are specifically designed to meet customer requirements based on testing capabilities, material type, application and industry standards such as ASTM E8 for metals, ASTM D638 for plastics, ASTM D412 for elastomers, etc. In addition to overall system safety and reliability, each universal testing machine designed and manufactured by ZL focuses on providing:
Easy to operate and achieve high flexibility
Simple adaptation to customer and standard specific requirements
Future-proof extensions to grow with your needs
We have been focusing on the production and research of tensile machines for over a decade.
Throughout its more than 16 years of history, Our products have sold well in the Europe, America and Southeast Asia market and total more than 108 countries these years, especially favored by European and American countries.
